The actual day has come and gone. The celebration this year were so different from past years. Trying to find new traditions and make a meaningful celebration. For me it is the lights, since this is the darkest time of the year having bright lights about the house helps it feel merry and bright. This was one christmas that is anything but white however.
The drought continues. A tiny bit of rain is the only thing we have seen in months.

I do like to look at the snow, inside with a hot drink of some sort.

No snow here either, although we are getting quite a bit of rain. Which is better than drought conditions, but did little for the old "holiday spirit." Thanks for the snowy scene! It helped to remind me of what the white stuff actually looks like...
