Dudleyspinner Hand painted wool Roving/combed top
The date is set for the surgery on my rotator cuff, January 25. It will be arthroscopic unless there is a tear. Then it will be more extensive. I am feeling in limbo. I have not been doing any knitting, spinning, crochet. If I do it is a hot ice pick in the shoulder.
So what have I been doing? Reading, alot of reading. I just finished Trinity by Leon Uris. This book takes place in Ireland and Northern Ireland. Derry and the surrounding area is the setting for much of the book, along with Dublin and Belfast. Trinity explains much of the history of politics between the Catholics and Prodistants.
While I was in Derry, I asked three Catholic gents in the local pub Tinneys, if they would call themselves an Ulster man. I did not understand the political implication of that term. An Ulster man would be a Prodistant and the enemy of the Catholics, and members of the orange party. Two of them, Sean and Damian said they were Ulster men that it ony meant the region they were from, not their religion. This gives me hope that the "Troubles" are really ended.
Ebay sent notice today that the rates are going up AGAIN! My Give EBAY the BOOT SALE discount of 20% off everything in my dudleyspinner store is still going on

I am so hoping that your surgery is the least invasive possible and a complete success. You have been so patient with the limitations on fiber activities. I fear I'd be complaining non-stop! Hang in there!
Good luck with the surgery.
